Alenia North America appoints John H. Young, Jr. CEO of Alenia North America Defense

Today Alenia North America Inc., a subsidiary of Alenia Aeronautica (a Finmeccanica Company) is extremely pleased to announce the appointment of John H. Young, Jr. as the Chief Executive Officer of Alenia North America Defense. “John’s experience in managing complex business units and large strategic business pursuits will prove to be a tremendous asset to our company”, said Giuseppe Giordo, President and Chief Executive Officer of Alenia North America. “This announcement clearly demonstrates our continued commitment to the U.S. market and I am also very confident that John will play a key and vital role in assuring we achieve our U.S. business goals and objectives”, Mr. Giordo said. Mr. Young brings with him a breath of successful senior executive level Aerospace and Defense industry experience. Mr. Young spent over 30 years of his career at the Northrop Grumman Corporation where he served in numerous executive positions for their Electronics, Space, and Aircraft businesses and ultimately in their corporate office as the Vice President for Corporate Contracts, Pricing, Program Management and other critical companywide functions. He then went on to serve as the Chief Operating Officer for EADS North America and the Chief Executive Officer for EADS North America Tankers LLC. Most recently Mr. Young managed the Young Consulting Group which provided services to both the domestic and international Aerospace and Defense industry. Mr. Young served in the U.S. Marine Corps Aviation Group as part of their Photo Reconnaissance and Electronic Warfare squadron. He has also served on numerous Academic, U.S. Government and Industry boards, including as the Chairman for the U.S. Aerospace Industry Association’s Procurement and Finance Executive Committee.
