Daniele Romiti was born in Genoa in 1958, he is married and he has three children. Graduated in Aeronautical Engineering at The Polytechnic Institute of Turin in 1982, he started his career in Agusta in 1984 at the Cascina Costa (VA) plant. He worked before in the Staff of the Technical Directorate in the Rotor Design Department as design engineer, then he moved to the Quality Directorate in the Transmission Production Department. In September 1988 Mr. Romiti is appointed Manager of the Quality Department at the Agusta Plant at Monteprandone (near Ascoli Piceno) where one year later he became Production Manager. In 1991 he returned to Cascina Costa in the new position of Manager for Manufacturing Engineering in the Transmissions plant, with specific responsibility for investments in order to initiate a radical rationalisation in the production methodology. In 1997 he was designated Plant Manager for the Transmissions Plant in Cascina Costa and subsequently, in 1998, he became Vice President of the whole Transmissions Division. In January 2002 Daniele Romiti was appointed Vice President of Operations of AgustaWestland Italy and in 2005 he became Senior Vice President of Operations of Agusta Westland Italy and UK, with the responsibility of 7 productive centres. In 2009 Daniele Romiti was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Alenia Aeronautica.
