The Alenia Aeronautica Simulation Center (SC) has evolved to support systems throughout their full liceycle.
Its core is the Synthetic Environment, itself revolving around the networking of all available flight simulators, a virtual operational environment and modular support tools added as needed.
The specific SC contribution resides in Flight Simulators, Interactive Pilot Stations and Tactical Scenario Generation Systems.
The latter rely on both proprietary Scenario for Test and Evaluation Purposes (STEP) synthetic tactical scenario generator, which is tailored for R&D, and commercial off the shelf applications mainly for training purposes.
The SC was established in 1961 and is based in the Corso Marche plant in Turin.
